FAQ

Is registration free? 

Yes. No charge for registering or placing bids.

You can always review or modify your registration prior to bidding, by going to the My Account section.

I registered but I didn’t get my confirmation email. 

When you register, an email is sent to the email address you specify. This is to make sure we are able to communicate with you about your bidding and purchases. If you don’t receive the confirmation email within ten minutes of completing the form, your email settings or bulk/spam mail filters may have prevented delivery. If you check these email folders and still cannot find the confirmation email, double check the address you entered, by signing in on our website and going to the My Account section. If this doesn’t fix the problem, send me an email and I will help get this resolved.  info@eolivia.com

Reserves

We are not using any price reserves other than the starting prices you see on each item. No hidden reserves!

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of your information. We do not sell, rent or otherwise disclose any of your personal data. We will need to fill out certain insurance and, if required, customs forms.

How do I enter a shipping address that is different from my billing address? 

When you register, the opportunity to ship to another address becomes available if you check this option. Just fill it out completely.

Trouble signing in

Check you are inputting the correct username and password. If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot your password?” link on the SignIn page. This will generate an email with a link allowing you to reset your password. If you’ve reset your password and are still having difficulties please contact me:   info@eolivia.com

Is my Username or Password case sensitive? 

Yes, your Username  and password are case sensitive.

How do I change my Email Address? 

To update your email address, please go to the “My Account” section and select “Change Name/Email.” After you hit submit, you should receive an email verification to complete the process. If you don’t, let me know.  info@eolivia.com

How do I change my User Name? 

Once you have registered with our auction site, you cannot change your user name. If you made a mistake entering your user name during the registration process, please contact us for further help.

How do I change my Password? 

To update your password, please go to the “My Account” section and select “Change Password.” Follow instructions to change password.

How do I subscribe/ unsubscribe to promotion emails and newsletters? 

Occasionally we may send out promo or news emails. This will be infrequent, and usually to notify you about an upcoming auction. You can opt out of receiving these emails in “My Account” .

Do you ship outside the US?    

Yes, we ship worldwide. But remember that freight and customs fees are paid by the buyer.

How do I start bidding? 

In order to be able to bid you will need to register. Once registered you are free to bid. Just pick your item from the front page, open the item page, and click on the bid button. If you are planning to bid on more than one item per auction, please let me know, and we will discuss how to do it.

What is a Proxy Bid ? 

Placing a Proxy Bid is your best bet at winning an auction without having to continually return to your computer to check on it. To set a Proxy Bid, simply type in the maximum amount you would be willing to pay and hit the “bid” button. Our system will automatically outbid others until your Proxy Bid limit is reached. The program will only apply the lowest amount needed to outbid others. When two Proxy Bids are placed for the same amount, the person who placed the bid first will win. Both bids will be visible with the first one placed (winner) appearing above the other.

Can I change my Proxy Bid amount?

PLEASE NOTE. You cannot modify a proxy bid once it has been placed. So consider carefully how much you are willing to pay for the item, and place your bid accordingly. Your Proxy Bid will only be accessed in the event of someone outbidding you. If your highest Proxy Bid is outbid by another bidder, then and only then, you can place another Proxy Bid. (Providing, of course, that the auction has not ended.) If you make a mistake in your bidding or need to retract or modify a Proxy Bid, I will do my best to assist you, time permitting. Why, when I placed a bid, did it immediately tell me I was outbid? 

When this happens, it means that another user had already set up a Proxy Bid for an amount higher than the bid you placed. To learn more about Proxy Bids, see above. You are free to place another higher bid on the item.

How can I keep track of my bidding activity? 

At the top right of every page is a link to “My Account”.

Can I pick up my items instead of having them shipped? 

Possibly. Contact me if you want to do this. We are in the LA area.

How do I know if I’ve won an auction?  

You will receive an email when the auction closes.

You will see the number of items awaiting payment at the top right of every page next to the “Cart” link.

Your watch list will display “You’ve won!” next to the closed listing.

How do I pay for the auction that I won? 

At the close of each auction, the winning bidder is expected to pay for their wins.

We will email you an invoice within 48 hours of the auction close.

We will expect payment within 5 days from the date of the invoice.

Can I retract a confirmed bid? 

No. Just like a live auction, placing a bid shows your intent to purchase an item. Please do not place any bids on an item unless you intend to purchase the item. Check the amount of the bid you are making and then check it again. You are responsible for the bids accuracy.

Exception: If it is more than 24 hours before the close of the auction, and you want to change or retract your bid, contact me . I will consider this on a case-by-case situation.

Can I use a PO Box or APO/FPO for my shipping address? 

We do not accept these as valid shipping addresses. Most of our art is shipped by FEDEX, and they can’t deliver to PO Boxes.

How can I see the cost of shipping an item?

What is your return policy? 

No returns are permitted without my permission. Contact me.

Will I be charged sales tax? 

All California shipping addresses will be charged sales tax. We understand that some of our customers may be resellers and if you provide proof of this in the form of a California resellers form, completed, signed, and active currently, the sales tax will be waived.

What is your cancellation policy? 

Once the auction is completed, and you are high/winning bidder, you are not allowed to cancel your bid. If you have a problem paying or otherwise, contact me.

Will you combine my items to save shipping costs?

How do I know my item is real? 

This is Olivia’s personal auction site. We guarantee the art is painted by her.

Payment questions? 

Payment is due within one week by PAYPAL, credit/debit cards, or bank wire transfer.

What are the shipping and handling charges based on? 

The shipping and insurance fees are determined by the shipper, location, and method of shipment.

We have already included our handling and materials costs in our initial price.

I got an error message when trying to pay for my wins. What is the problem? 

Common causes of an error during the checkout process are:

-The billing information you provided when attempting the charge does not match that on record with your credit card company.
-Your credit card number is invalid or expired.
-Your Card Verification number is incorrect (this number is a 3 digit number on the right of the signature line (MC and VISA) or a 4 digit number on the right hand side of the front of the card (AMEX); 
If you have double checked these factors and the charge still will not process, please contact me.
